Name: PumpkinGender & Breed: Female Domestic ShorthairAge: 13 years oldOrganization: Whiskers Animal Benevolent League, AlbanyAbout: Pumpkin is a senior girl who lost her forever home when her mom passed away and her remaining family no longer wanted her. The transition from home to shelter life left her distraught and eventually she stopped eating and went into liver failure. She was taken to a foster home where she made a full recovery, and now that she is stable, she is looking for her perfect fur-ever home.
Pumpkin is a vocal girl who will let you know when she wants something, especially if she wants treats! She will also meow when she wants to play, and even bring you a toy in her mouth. She loves her dry food and would live solely on Temptations if you let her. She also loves sleeping in bed with her foster dad. She curls up next to him every night. It’s very sweet!
Pumpkin does not like other cats and would be so much happier in a home without other animal companions. She is also hyperthyroid and on a low dose of medicine two times a day to control the condition. She takes her medicine easily and the medicine is very affordable.Adoption Details: Pumpkin is up for adoption at the Whiskers Animal Benevolent League in Albany. Name: OakGender & Breed: Male Domestic ShorthairAge: 3 months oldOrganization: Whiskers Animal Benevolent League, AlbanyAbout: Oak is a part of a sibling trio with Cherry and Rowan. The three were found living under a shed in Colonie before they were rescued at 7 weeks old. They quickly adjusted to indoor life and are now looking for their fur-ever homes.
Oak is the biggest of the bunch, but the most scared! When you pet him, he hisses, when you give him food, he hisses, when you pick him up — you guessed it, he hisses! But he never bites or swipes, so we definitely think he’s just confused! He can be held and will eat in your lap. We know that in time he will learn from his siblings, or other cats in his forever home, to not hiss so much!
But in the meantime, at least his little airplane ears are so cute!
Oak needs to be adopted with one of his siblings or another cat companion.Adoption Details: Oak is up for adoption at the Whiskers Animal Benevolent League in Albany. Apply to adopt at ewhiskers.com/apply. Adoption fees, process requirements and other information can also be found on the Whiskers website at ewhiskers.com.

Cherry is the sweetest of the bunch and she immediately trusted us humans. She meows when her foster mom enters the room, especially if she has food, and she was the first of the group to start to play and come out of the crate. She has a cute, round little face and little white socks on her paws. She’s irresistible!
Cherry needs to be adopted with one of her siblings or another cat companion.Adoption Details: Cherry is up for adoption at the Whiskers Animal Benevolent League in Albany.
