Pet of the Week: Peanut is a Beagle Shep available from SBARC

Howl-loooo, my name is Peanut, and I am a beagle/German Shepherd mix or a Beagle Shep. With these two distinct breeds in my genetic make-up, I am friendly, loyal, intelligent, faithful, and extremely energetic. I am considered outgoing, quite handsome and I get along well with other dogs, especially the females. Because I was always running away to “make my way” around town, I was surrendered to the South Bend Animal Resource Center by my previous owner. Good grief, I have since been neutered.

I am 2 years old, weigh 42 pounds and love to be outside walking, running, exercising, and jumping. Boy, can I jump! My next home should probably have a tall fence. I have been potty trained and should be easy to train if you are willing to take the time. Just for the record...I am treat motivated.

If you are an active family and want a dog that can keep up with you – then I’m that dog. If you want an exercise buddy that you can try to keep up with – then I’m that dog. If you like talking to your dog and want a dog that will be vocal with you – then I’m that dog. As my friend Charlie Brown says, “If there’s one person you want by your side at a moment like this, it’s your loyal dog.” I’m that dog!
